When it came time to name a business that embodied a vision so deeply personal and important, we knew we couldn’t choose just anything. We needed something truly unique, memorable, and grounded in our belief system.
In Japanese culture, “Maki”(pronunciation: MAH-KEE) means “truth tree.” In a culture steeped in the importance of nature and family, the name also represents strength, stability, and a commitment to staying firmly rooted in one’s principles.
